Rowaida Adnan | Khada Eunwani b/w Magnoun (1960s)

Roweida Adnan was a Syrian-born Egyptian singer and actress who released a handful of records and starred in a handful of films in the 1960s and 70s before retiring for good in the 80s.

Both tracks on this likely mid-60s single were written by Syrian composer Mohamed Diya' al-Din and they're both terrific, but it's really Side B's Magnoun, or "Crazy," that we want to share with you: It contains the only solo acoustic guitar and voice track on Egyptian 45 RPM from this period that we know of. 

And it's mind-blowing.
