The man of 10,000 mawawil, legendary singer Mohamad Taha was born in Tahta, Sohag Governorate, which lies between Cairo and Luxor, in 1922. His talent blossomed while working in the textile factories of Shubra, and he was mentored by Mustafa Morsi, who taught him the art of the mawal.

This 45, which is not catalogued on Discogs, consists of two gobsmacking mawal bangers, one more ferocious than the next. We needn't oversell it; it speaks for itself to all those who'll lend it their ears.
